About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Warehouse Manager to lead our operations at our warehouse. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring an efficient and streamlined workflow, and fostering a safe and productive work environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in warehouse management, specifically within the FMCG industry, and a passion for driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and distribution of goods.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Manage inventory control processes, including cycle counts, stock takes, and reconciliation.
- Coordinate with logistics, procurement, and production teams to ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
- Train, mentor, and supervise warehouse staff, fostering a positive team environment.
- Monitor performance metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of warehouse activities.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards and regulations.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, and third-party service providers.
- Lead project management efforts for business change initiatives to improve warehouse processes and systems.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience (5+ years) in warehouse management, preferably within the FMCG industry.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate, develop, and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- Sound knowledge of inventory management and logistics software (e.g., SAP, WMS).
- A solid understanding of workplace health and safety regulations.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to problem-solve and make data-driven decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Forklift license and other relevant certifications (preferred).
