We're looking for a communication professional who's keen to make a difference. When you join our small, supportive team you'll gain exposure to a broad range of interesting communication work. One day you'll be tabling an Auditor-General report in parliament, and the next coordinating a client event, proofreading a report or blog, or creating engaging content for our LinkedIn channel.
If you have exceptional attention to detail, an interest in learning digital communication tools, and like building relationships with others across the business, this is the role for you.
This is a permanent role with a flexible and hybrid way of working.
Your Tasks Include
- coordinating the production and tabling (publishing) of reports to parliament, including working closing with audit teams on timelines and proofreading final documents
- writing engaging promotional materials for our website, email subscribers, social media channels, and more
- uploading content on our website and intranet site
- editing and proofreading blog posts, fact sheets and presentations
- managing events for our clients both in-house and at external venues
- designing icons and graphics for our publications using Word, PowerPoint, Adobe and Canva
- multi-tasking to complete a variety of tasks at any one time
- bringing new ideas to our team on how we can share the insights from our work.
On behalf of the Auditor-General, we provide insights to over 600 state and local government clients on how to deliver better public services for Queenslanders. As the state's independent auditor, we are vital to Queensland's integrity system of government. Innovation, teamwork, and professional service delivery are at the heart of what we do.
You'll work in a team with the Senior Communications Officer and Communications Director, under the leadership of our Deputy Auditor-General in the broader Parliamentary Services. We work both in the office at 53 Albert Street, Brisbane, and remotely from home. The salary range for this role is: $115,604 to $125,441 (including 12.75% superannuation and 17.5% annual leave loading).
