Established in 1982, Alzheimer’s WA provides care, support, awareness and information to assist people living with dementia, as well as their families and carers.

Our services include advocacy, education, partnerships, training, consultancy and holistic person-centred care programs, based on a philosophy of understanding the lived experiences of those living with dementia. We provide CHSP, HCP and NDIS packages and day/overnight respite in our four homes based in Perth, Mandurah and Albany.

Position Summary

As the Service Operations Manager for our Care Team, you will play a vital role in overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with aged care standards, and contributing to a positive workplace culture. This position provides high-level operational leadership, resource management, and quality improvement, enhancing service delivery and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee operations of aged care facilities, providing necessary training or resources.
  • Develop and implement consistent operational policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, industry standards, and accreditation requirements.
  • Optimise resource allocation, including staff, equipment, and facilities.
  • Monitor and control operational expenses for financial sustainability.
  • Assist in budgeting, financial planning, and service hour estimation.
  • Collaborate with Finance on reporting and capacity planning.
  • Lead, mentor, and support staff to foster high engagement and performance.
  • Conduct performance reviews and address staffing needs proactively.
  • Cultivate a workplace culture aligned with organisational values.
  • Ensure services meet or exceed aged care quality standards.
  • Oversee incident management and complaint resolution processes.
  • Act as a liaison to address concerns and improve service delivery.
  • Prioritise a person-centred approach, ensuring client well-being and dignity.
  • Develop and evaluate operational management plans, including systems and processes.
  • Support House Managers and operational staff, stepping into roles as needed.
  • Adhere to organisational policies and compliance requirements.
  • Report incidents and contribute to workplace safety.
  • Maintain a professional image and build relationships to promote the organisation.
  • Prepare analysis reports and educate staff on tools and processes for effective service delivery.

Selection Criteria Qualifications & Knowledge:

  • Diploma/Degree in operations management or substantial experience (5+ years).
  • Knowledge of aged care regulations, accreditation standards, and compliance.
  • Current WA Driving Licence and unrestricted working rights in Australia.
  • COVID-19 vaccination certificate.
  • Proven experience in aged care, healthcare, or a similar environment (5+ years).

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong analytical and leadership skills.
  • Financial acumen with experience in budgeting and resource management.
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to foster continuous improvement and high-quality service delivery
