Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia offers experience-based holidays in spectacular wilderness locations, including Ayers Rock Resort in the iconic Red Centre and tourism facilities in Mossman Gorge, located in tropical Queensland.This role is located at our office in Sydney, which serves as a central hub, providing support to our operational teams based in our two locations.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR professional with strong leadership capabilities, strategic vision, and a passion for fostering inclusive workplace culture to join our People & Culture Team as Director of People & Culture .
This role will see you be a leading People & Culture expert who provides advice and guidance to the business at a strategic and operational level. As well as ensuring all necessary frameworks and policies are in place and implemented successfully on an on-going basis. Provide leadership, mentoring, direction, and motivation, ensuring that all team members work collaboratively and effectively across the business.
Key Duties
- Oversee the implementation of corporate workforce strategies, frameworks, guidelines, solutions, precedents, tools and systems to attract, retain and develop a high functioning, stable and well- structured workforce across Voyages
- Mentor and provide leadership to the People & Culture team.
- Develop and continually improve Voyages P&C systems, frameworks, precedents and policies to ensure best practice and align with Voyages corporate strategies.
- Oversee the Learning and Development function across the business.
- Tertiary Qualifications in HR or related discipline with a minimum 6 years operational, strategic and advisory HR experience.
- Management, leadership, team building, consulting, negotiation and facilitation skills.
- Knowledge of Human Resource organisational policies, practices and best practice.
- Proven track record in implementing best practice people initiatives.
- Strong relationship management and influencing skills.
- Strong project management skills and proven track record of creating and implementing new and effective HR frameworks and strategies.
- Detailed knowledge of current employment legislation, regulation and awards.
- Ability to interact at an executive/strategic level and at all operational levels (including with teams in remote locations).
