ABOUT THE COMPANY:
Complete Belting Solutions Pty Ltd is an Australian conveyor and asset maintenance management company that manufactures and supplies products and services to industrial, quarry and mine sites across Australia, and we have positions available for labourers to join our Brisbane-based team.
No formal trade qualification is required, but experience in mechanical asset or conveyor maintenance would be looked upon favourably.
This role offers a unique opportunity for someone looking for a diverse working environment at a competitive rate. It will see you perform a variety of tasks based:
- at our Brisbane workshop; and
- on local and CQ client sites (overnight stays may occasionally be required).
Extensive overtime is available but not mandatory.
This opportunity will see you:
- Assist our qualified technicians with conveyor belt and system maintenance activities and repairs both in the workshop and on site, including belt repair, roller maintenance, pulley refurbishments, gear box change outs, skirt replacements, belt tracking, etc
- Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on other fixed plant
- Perform general site maintenance duties
- Undertake assigned planned workshop mechanical and fabrication works (inc. welding)
- Assist in conveyor belt installs, etc as required
- Undertake breakdown, shutdown and project work
- General workshop duties as required, including stock management, maintenance tasks, paperwork, etc (where applicable)
- Potentially travel intrastate and undertake the above tasks
Suitable applicants will possess the following qualities:
- Experience as a labourer or trade assistant is desirable but not mandatory
- No formal trade qualification is required
- Experience in mechanical asset and / or conveyor maintenance would be an advantage, however, please note that training will be provided
- Experience in the maintenance/construction of mechanical equipment within bulk handling and processing environment would be looked upon favourably
- Demonstrated high attention to detail
- Well-presented and professional in all aspects
- Commitment to the highest WHS and environment standards in all activities, with the ability to apply workplace health and safety policies and procedures
- Commitment to quality workmanship and concern for job-turnaround and customer downtime
- Excellent communication skills, self-motivation and a strong work ethic
- Ability to follow instructions
- The ability to work well as an individual or as part of team
- The ability to operate at a high-level even when under pressure
- A responsible attitude, with a willingness to be held accountable
- A willingness to work different shifts where required
- A willingness to work overtime, including weekends, as required
- A willingness to travel if required
- A valid driver licence
- A current forklift licence will be looked upon favourably
- Possessing the following qualifications would be an advantage: confined space; Working Safely at Heights; EWP; White Card
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
