About the role
Seaside Explorers Early Learning, formally known as Willy Wagtails, is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Early Childhood Teacher to join our team in Yamba, NSW. In this full-time position, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality early childhood education and care to the children in our coastal community. As the new owner of this excellent service, we are very excited to welcome new educators and pride ourselves in supporting and caring for our educators. What you'll be doing
- Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences that support the cognitive, physical, social and emotional development of children aged 0-5 years
- Observe, document and assess children's learning and development to inform curriculum planning and individualised support
- Build strong relationships with children and their families, fostering open communication and collaboration
- Contribute to the implementation of the service's educational program and ensure compliance with the National Quality Standards
- Actively participate in professional development opportunities and team meetings
- Maintain a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent
- Current Early Childhood Teacher registration in NSW
- Demonstrated experience in the early childhood education sector, with a strong understanding of child development and pedagogical practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
- A passion for creating engaging, play-based learning experiences that support the holistic development of young children
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to contribute to the continuous improvement of the service
