Description:
- Processing end-to-end fortnightly payroll for a large workforce, inclusive of on boarding, off boarding, superannuation and tax.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
- Managing payroll queries and providing timely fixes to employees.
- Producing accurate payroll reports and report reconciliations as required.
- Maintaining up-to-date records of leave, superannuation, and tax deductions.
- Collaborating with HR and Finance teams to improve payroll processes.
- Assisting with audits related to payroll and internal controls.
- Adhering to all confidentiality and data protection procedures.
- Provide necessary mentoring, support and training to new employees.
Requirements:
A successful Senior Payroll Officer should have:
- A tertiary qualification in Payroll or Accounting is preferred.
- Strong, long-term experience in end-to-end payroll processing and EOFY processes (7-10 years of experience).
- Proven experience in a similar payroll role within a large organisation/similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems and Australian payroll legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- An ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong systems experience, preferably with first tier systems such as PeopleSoft, Aurion or Chris21. Strong competencies in Excel is required.
