About us

The Portable Long Service Authority (the Authority) is a self-funded statutory body established to administer the Long Service Benefits Portability Act 2018. The Act, together with the Long Service Benefits Portability Regulations 2020 provide a Portable Long Service Benefits Scheme. The Authority plays an important role in allowing workers in the community services, contract cleaning and security industries to build up long service benefits based on time in their industry rather than with a single employer. About the role

The Manager, Information Technology has responsibility for the management of the Authority's Information Technology core systems and support staff, Business Analysis, and Reporting functions. The role provides leadership and direction to the team and is responsible for managing relationships with key service providers to enable the organisation to be efficient and effective, and that IT systems meet the needs of the Authority. The role provides strategic direction ensuring data is appropriatly protected and that required compliance activities are completed.

About you

To be the successful candidate for the role, you will have experience with and a strong understanding of IT governance frameworks and best practice procedures with a proven ability to provide exceptional leadership and foster a positive team environment. You will be a strategic thinker with demonstrated success in executing operational priorities within tight timelines, engaging a range of stakeholders and facilitating improvement in a dynamic and evolving landscape.
