Remuneration: $75,011.44 to $87,199.34 pa + superannuation & leave loading
We are a dynamic and dedicated team seeking a Community Development Officer to join us. This role offers an incredible opportunity to engage with the Campaspe community, leveraging local assets and strengths to foster a healthy and inclusive region.
As the Community Development Officer, you will support community needs and support Council-led advocacy initiatives. You will also assist in delivering community engagement activities, approved community projects, and Place Based Planning, all in alignment with Council policies and procedures. Your efforts will help foster a connected and healthy community where everyone feels a sense of belonging and can contribute.
You will excel at maintaining professional relationships with government agencies, elected representatives, and community organisations. Your ability to collaborate effectively with residents and community groups will be crucial. We are looking for a proactive thinker with strong interpersonal skills and a positive, can-do attitude, who always keeps the community's best interests at heart.
To be successful for this role you will require:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Community Development, Social Services, Health, Education, or related discipline is desirable, or relevant experience.
- Proven experience in planning, delivering, and facilitating initiatives that respond to identified community priorities and opportunities.
- Proven experience in the community sector including knowledge of development theory and practice.
- Valid Working with Children Check.
- Valid National Police Check and Driver’s Licence.
