Byron Shire Council is currently seeking an enthusiastic Project Officer - Koala. The position plays a key role in project and contract management of Koala related projects, ensuring projects and activities are cost effective and deliver identified outcomes for koala conservation and management as per the Byron Coast Comprehensive Koala Plan of Management and Byron Shire Biodiversity Conservation Strategy. The position will undertake research and identify partnerships, seek grant funding, organise stakeholder activities and on-ground activities, respond to community enquiries as well as prepare project documentation, contract administration, budget management, preparing briefing materials, evaluating technical reports and providing annual reporting (as required).
