We are seeking a Public Relations Manager to join the Fundraising and Communications Division. Reporting to the Head, Brand, Communications and Marketing your role is to:
- Be responsible for the robust media profile, both proactive and reactive, across Cancer Council Victoria.
- Generate strong media content and opportunities across the breadth of the organisation in support of fundraising campaigns, support services, advocacy work, research breakthroughs and much more.
- Conduct media training for senior staff and critical stakeholder groups
- Lead, manage, coach, inspire and empower the PR team.
All about you
We are looking for someone with:
- Substantial industry experience in public and media relations in either commercial, government and/or not for profit environments with proven experience in a senior communication role
- Demonstrated ability to resolve complex issues and the ability to show initiative
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Results focused with the ability to manage a broad workload, focus on the big picture and deliver key day-to-day tasks

- Base salary of $99,648 to $116,882 p.a. (dependant on experience, pro rata for part time) plus 11.5% superannuation
