Job Description
We currently have an opportunity for an Environmental Administrator to join our team. This position will support the Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture (RRJV), which is a 50/50 joint venture between Downer and CPB Contractors to undertake major upgrades and replacement of existing infrastructure and facilities.
We are seeking candidates with NV1 Security Clearance to be part of our team on the redevelopment project, covering the Albury Wodonga Military Area, Blamey Barracks (Kapooka) and the RAAF Base Wagga.
This position will be based out of the Wagga Wagga area.
Responsibilities
The role has a broad remit, with key responsibilities outlined below:
Manage all day-to-day liaisons with the client in respect of environmental management. Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirement and all relevant Company and Group policies and processes. Water quality monitoring, testing and reporting; Noise and vibration monitoring and reporting. Managing subcontractor’s environmental compliance and reporting. Develop and delivering training sessions and toolbox talks to project team and subcontractors on environmental aspects.
Qualifications
What you’ll bring
Hold or able to obtain a Government Security Clearance (Australian citizen) Tertiary qualification in environmental science or similar. Lead auditor training and/ or experience. Extensive construction experience in the related field. A sound knowledge of environmental legislation and requirements. Computer skills in company's current software versions of word-processing, spreadsheet, database and e-mail. Knowledge of industry and / or project induction in accordance with legislation. Task training or skills to suit specific project activities and their associated risks. A broad knowledge of safety and health legislation.
