About us
The Department of Government Services (DGS) was established on 1 January 2023 to improve everyone's experience of doing business and interacting with the Victorian government. We bring important day-to-day services together in one department to make things easy and seamless for Victorians and businesses. We are doing this by connecting and digitising our systems and platforms across state and local government as well as streamlining our corporate and procurement services.
About the role
Reporting to the Workforce Planning Manager, you will support the coordination of the end-to-end forecasting, resource planning, rostering and recruitment process, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for staff, candidates and managers. Working closely with our Operations and HR teams, you'll play a key role in meeting resource and recruitment demands. The position is part of the wider support service team and at times assistance updating and maintaining knowledge articles will be required.

Key accountabilities include
- Use historical data to generate work volume forecasts and resource requirements
- Using your resource requirement analysis, generate rosters to ensure demand is met within departmental requirements
- Assist the support service team with updating and maintaining knowledge articles.
About you
To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate:
- Previous experience in workforce planning, rostering or workforce management in a contact centre or high volume transactional environment
- Ability to identify issues and problem solve, apply critical thinking skills
- Previous experience completing quality monitoring in a contact centre environment
- Demonstratable time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment
- Confident and can talk to a diverse cohort of people.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer services skills.
