The role

We have an exciting opportunity available for a passionate Payroll Officer to join the team in Crown Melbourne.

In this role you will ensure timely and accurate completion of all payroll related data to produce employee pays in accordance with relevant policies, procedures, and legislation.

Key responsibilities:
  • Assist in ensuring the accurate and timely administration, preparation and processing of payroll functions.
  • Provide support to departments by delivering a high level of service to all customers, both internal and external through phone and email enquiries.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the Crown Enterprise Agreements, Crown People & Culture (P&C) Policies, including liaison with departments to ensure correct P&C policy and EA interpretation.
  • Participate in learning & development, payroll initiatives, embrace team activities, and Payroll's communication strategy.
  • Facilitate periodic internal/external auditing and performing various reconciliation tasks as required.
About you

You'll bring the following:
  • Previous experience in a similar payroll position within a large complex organisation.
  • A strong understanding of payroll functions particularly focused on Award & Enterprise Agreement pay structures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products and Human Resource Information Systems; Workday and PeopleSoft is an advantage but not essential.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Have sound experience in managing communications with customers and stakeholders
