In the role of Senior User Interface / User Experience Designer, you will bring an in-depth knowledge of usercentred design that helps TMR improve and enhance the Digital products the branch is responsible for Licence app by helping capture and interpret customer insights and solve service design problems for related products and services with a wide range of customer scenarios.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Design customer experiences using Human Centred Design that improves ease of use, enhances access to services and provides high value for Queenslanders.
- Produce high fidelity wireframes, components, templates, patterns and prototypes for the Digital products being delivered by CDIS that Queenslanders intuitively understand and feel empowered by.
- Follow best practices, conventions and standards (such as Apple HIG, Google Material Design, WCAG) and ensure UI/UX is fit-for-purpose, meets technical and business requirements, and customer expectations.
- Safeguard design principles and standards, and use your passion and willingness to inspire and coach others.
- Maintain and document associated design systems by updating and applying changes so they can be used effectively across a wide range of applications.
- Prepare and handover development specification documentation and review implementation for enhancements, new features, refinements and defects.
- Plan and conduct customer research, user testing and accessibility testing to gain deep understanding of customer feedback, needs, attitudes and behaviors in relation to digital products.
- Synthesize research data into insight and produce reports that communicate research outcomes and recommendations.
- Work closely with the change and communications team through the design and refinement processes to ensure the customer is considered in all elements of the development phase.
- Key Capability: Demonstrated experience in UI/UX design of digital products with high numbers of daily active users as part of a full-stack, agile, software development team.
- Key Capability Two: Demonstrated skill in designing simple and valuable interactions from requirements that are sometimes initially ambiguous or complex.
- Key Capability Three: Demonstrated experience conducting customer research, interpreting and synthesizing data into insights, and documenting research findings into documents that communicate with influence.
- Technical Capability One: Demonstrated skills and experience in:
o Use of tools including Figma, Miro and Adobe CC.
o Accessibility compliance (e.g. WCAG).
- Technical Capability Two: Ideally experience in one or more of:
o Mobile application design.
- Technical Capability Three: Demonstrated skills and experience in:
o User testing.
