About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented Medical Scientist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will apply your scientific and technical expertise to perform a variety of routine diagnostic techniques that contribute directly to patient care whilst undertaking the nightshift. You'll be involved in all stages of the diagnostic process—from problem definition through to planning, testing, analysis, and reporting—ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and high standards are maintained at every step. Key to this role, you will provide supervision of the Night Shift team and ensure that KPIs are met.
With the support of experienced professionals, you'll also have the opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of new methodologies and technologies. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for laboratory science and a drive to learn, grow, and be part of advancements in diagnostic services that make a real difference to the health and wellbeing of the community.

We're looking for someone with:

Relevant qualifications in pathology or medical laboratory science, as defined by NPAAC standards.

Strong technical and analytical skills to perform high-quality diagnostic testing and equipment troubleshooting.

Effective teamwork and communication abilities , with a proactive and professional approach to work.

Sound knowledge of lab practices , including quality procedures, scientific principles, and data handling systems.
