We are offering the rewarding role of National Category Planner to work with Nutrien’s Independents network and contribute to the achievement of our strategic goals. Support the develop and delivery of category plans and grow your career into the future!

A typical day may look like:

Reporting to the Category Manager Crop Protection and Team Lead, you will provide the highest level of category support to the National Independents Category Managers & State Managers with a focus on analysis, identifying leads, forecasting, and reporting. In addition, you will perform a range of key functions including, but not limited to:

  • Providing data-driven insights and reporting these to support Category and State Managers with their decision-making.
  • Conduct monthly analysis on sales performance, margins, and rebates to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Investigate and resolve data discrepancies, rebate issues, and margin concerns.
  • Identify inefficiencies and leverage data insights to drive operational improvements.
  • Liaise with external suppliers as needed to ensure smooth operations.
  • Continually look for ways to improve the merchandise and category plans

To be successful you must demonstrate exposure to an inventory administration with a high volume of SKUs across multiple product categories. You will also demonstrate:

  • The ability to quickly develop rapport with key stakeholders across a diverse business
  • A customer focused approach and drive for excellence and accuracy in your work
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel and exposure to SAP
