Join our dedicated team at Community Recovery and manage the end-to-end implementation and administration of high value, high risk and complex contracts with funded organisations. Through effective and compliant implementation of contracts with funded organisations, this position will contribute to program accountability and effective service delivery which will in turn support overall community recovery outcomes and influence how services are delivered to communities. Your expertise will make a meaningful difference in building resilience in Queensland communities affected by disasters. Successful candidate to commence in July 2025.Community Recovery is the lead agency for the provision of human and social recovery support to Queenslanders impacted by disasters including the provision of personal financial support and emotional support and recovery activities.
The Long-Term Recovery and Resilience team (LTRR) establishes and manages long-term recovery and resilience programs to support communities affected by disaster events.

This position will contribute to continuous process improvement opportunities by driving team alignment, establishing efficiencies in contract management workflows and financial compliance processes. You will develop and maintain robust records in relation to contract delivery outcomes, responding to external administrative and financial queries where required. You will build strong partnerships with funded organisations and support them with their contract administration and accountability.
The ideal candidate will have previous contract management experience (preferably human and social service contracts in the public sector), extensive financial acumen and demonstrated communication (verbal and written) and negotiation skills. Succeeding in this role will require a high level of stakeholder engagement skills to manage ongoing relationships with funded organisations. You will have strong critical analysis and problem-solving skills with the ability to escalate contract noncompliance and inadequate reporting.
This is a fixed term full time position commencing July 2025 with possibility for extension.
