The Opportunity
The Administration and Front Desk Officer is required to undertake duties such as reception, meeting room coordination & preparation, mail distribution, vehicle bookings and courier coordination. The position is required to liaise closely with other areas of the business including the security team, property services and the ground floor concierge.
The reception area caters for external visitors hosted by the Chief Executive, Executive and staff in the Department as well as other South Australian Government agencies located in the building, therefore, the role requires being adaptable and proactive in ensuring a consistent and quality customer service.
About You
We’ re looking for someone who is motivated and passionate about making a difference. To be successful in this role you’ll be able to demonstrate the following skills and qualities:
- Efficiently handle daily administrative tasks, invoice processing, HR administration, database management/coordination and supporting general office functions.
- Skilled in managing reception functions, including mailbox maintenance.
- Excellent time management skills, and being adaptable to change, and coordinating conflicting priorities.
- Highly developed written and verbal communications skills.

Special Conditions
Prior to employment with the Department the successful candidate will be required to provide:
- A National Police Check (NPC) which must be renewed every three years.
- A Department for Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check (WWCC) which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.
Tenure of Vacancy
Temporary appointment up to 12 months. An extension or conversion to an ongoing role will be considered after this period.
Remuneration
ASO3 - $67,589 to $72,033 pa + superannuation
