Public Sector People (PSP) are partnered with a council in the western suburbs to recruit a Lease and Licensing Officer for a 5-month temporary contract.

Duration: 5-month temporary contract
Rate: $48 per hour plus super
We are seeking a highly organised and community-minded Lease and Licensing Officer to support the administration and compliance of leasing agreements across a diverse property portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate end-to-end lease and licence administration for Council-managed properties.
- Ensure properties are utilised and managed in accordance with all lease and licence agreements.
- Monitor the leasing budget, including preparation of monthly status reports, forecasting, and profiling of lease income.
- Identify, develop, and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including commercial tenants, government agencies, community groups, and private entities.
- Provide accurate property-related advice and support to staff, contractors, government departments, and the broader community.
- Maintain an up-to-date lease register with accurate information on parties, rental amounts, and critical dates such as lease expiration, option periods, and rent reviews.
Key Criteria:
- Relevant knowledge and experience in property leasing, coordination, or facilities management (1–3 years minimum preferred).
- Qualifications or certifications such as Certified Property Manager (CPM), Real Property Administrator (RPA), or recognition from the Australian Property Institute (API) or Real Estate Institute of Australia (REIA) will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with community members and conduct consultations on property-related issues.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills.
- High attention to detail and proficiency in maintaining accurate property records and financial reports.
