Precision Agriculture
Precision Agriculture is Australia’s leading provider of variable rate farming solutions. Established in Ballarat over 15 years ago, the Precision Agriculture team help farmers improve soil health, increase yield and reduce operating costs. From cutting-edge soil sampling technology to advanced digital soil management plans, the team has built a reputation for quality, service and innovation.
Having enjoyed an extended period of growth, Precision Agriculture now supports farmers and agronomists across Australia. This growth has created an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to join the team in a part-time capacity.
The Role
As Finance Manager, you will perform a broad range of duties to support the ongoing growth and success of Precision Agriculture. You will act as a trusted advisor to the leadership team, providing financial reporting, analysis and—where appropriate—recommendations on systems and process improvement. You will also play a hands-on role in routine finance operations, including month-end processes, reconciliations and statutory requirements.
This role would suit a mid-career Finance Manager seeking the flexibility of a part-time position, or a late-career professional looking to apply their experience in a growing, purpose-driven organisation.
Duties
- Maintain oversight of routine finance functions, including month-end processes and statutory compliance, providing hands-on support as needed
- Complete financial reporting and analysis, providing actionable insights to the leadership team
- Support frontline team members in the development of pricing and costing models
- Advise the leadership team on opportunities for systems and process improvements within the finance function
Skills & Experience
- Qualifications in Commerce or Accounting, with CA or CPA accreditation and demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to guide the long-term success of the organisation
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to balance financial operational requirements, long-term strategic goals and customer needs
Benefits
- Competitive salary package
- Flexible leave options
- Diverse and supportive team
