Kurrajong is a leading not-for-profit NDIS provider, delivering essential services to individuals with disabilities and their families across the Riverina & Murray region of NSW. With seven divisions and over 700 employees, Kurrajong is committed to creating open, accessible, and inclusive communities. In addition to support coordination, accommodation services, day programs and therapies, Kurrajong provides employment opportunities to over 130 local people with disability across a diverse portfolio of commercial enterprises.
The opportunity
Due to retirement, Kurrajong are seeking their next Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation. Based in Wagga Wagga and reporting to the Board, the Chief Executive Officer will play a key role in shaping and executing Kurrajong’s next strategic plan while also providing inspiring leadership and ensuring financial and operational sustainability.
This is a truly unique opportunity to lead a purpose driven organisation and improve the lives of people with disabilities in the Riverina Murray region. Key responsibilities as the Chief Executive Officer include:
- Providing leadership, direction and inspiration to a diverse team of staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Driving operational and financial performance to deliver high-quality client outcomes.
- Ensuring contemporary and robust governance, compliance and risk management processes are maintained across the organisation.
- Building strong stakeholder relationships and acting as an ambassador for the organisation within the local community and across Federal, State and local government.
About you
The ideal candidate will be a proven senior executive with experience preferably working within the Human Services sector. A strong understanding of the NDIS is desirable however consideration will be given to candidates with demonstrable experience across broader Human Services including Aged Care, Child and Family Services and Healthcare. Senior executives from the corporate sector with a passion for driving positive impact for people with disabilities are also encouraged to apply.
You will also possess:
- A degree qualification in a related field.
- Proven experience leading service delivery within a complex, client centric organisation.
- Strong strategic and commercial acumen, with a track record of driving growth and transformation.
- Exceptional leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to inspire and influence a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders.
- A passion for inclusion, community impact, and improving the lives of people with disabilities.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check, NDIS Working with Children Check and a current drivers’ license.
