J&J Innovative Medicines is looking for a great talent to be our APAC Strategic Pricing Associate Director . The Strategic Pricing Associate Director will work closely with the Therapeutic Area (TA) Market Access (MA) Leader and MA Brand Leads in managing strategic pricing across Hematology and Solid Tumors. They will lead TA pricing strategy at AP level, as well as lead or be involved in strategic pricing projects relevant to the TAs. They will provide AP Pricing input to indications in the pipeline and take a lead on linking pricing trends to early pricing and real-world evidence (RWE) initiatives in the above DAs. They will further identify and analyse therapy area pricing issues that are/or will become business critical and to work with AP MA, Medical Affairs, and Commercial colleagues as well as Global to develop clear plans that will optimize revenues across the region and enhance JJIM’s competitive advantage.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead pricing for brands in line with global guidance including review of business cases and providing clear recommendations to AP Regional management and Global

Define Regional Pricing Strategy for launch products over the life cycle
-
Run Regional pricing/payer research and translate these insights to build clear regional strategies
-
Collaborate with cross-functional Regional and Local teams to define launch sequencing for markets across multiple indications
-
Lead implementation of Regional pricing strategies and tactics, working closely with operating companies to find innovative solutions that deliver access whilst optimizing long-term value for AP markets

Provide recommendations on pricing assumptions across AP for key business planning processes: BP and LRFP

Review how evidence generation plans, and RWE strategies can defend or substantiate pricing potential, through close working with Market Access colleagues

Monitor TA-quality metrics / adherence to defined pricing strategy

Provide pricing assessment for New Business Development evaluations, early products development and regulatory strategy

Provide AP Pricing perspective into Global Clinical development Programs, incl. TPPs and Payer/Pricing research

Be a true business partner, working with OpCos to explore and find solutions to pricing challenges and to support them in the development of cases for pricing submissions

Launch Sequencing over multiple indications based on pricing for OpCos, considering IRP and competitive landscape

Pricing approval: Review and prepare recommendations/lead escalation, approvals & documentation

Preparing P&R trackers for key assets
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
-
The successful candidate preferably has a strong Pharmaceutical background (≥7 years experience) and has demonstrated a Regional mind-set with the ability to assimilate complex science and data quickly.

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a Biology, Pharmacy, or Medicine, -related field is required. An advanced degree in a Market Access-related field of Finance is highly desirable (Market Access-related fields include Health Services Research, Health Economics / Economics, Psychometrics, Health Policy, Outcomes Research, and Pharmacy Administration).

Progressive market access/pricing experience is required with a proven track record of success in delivering market access

Consolidated expertise in Pharmaceutical Pricing and Market Access with a good knowledge of healthcare systems in key AP markets

Track record of developing and implementing successful pricing strategies
-
Strategic thinker, capable of seeing the big picture and being analytical
-
Excellent English communication skills
-
Adept team player, able to cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders across multiple countries and cultures

Awareness of and application of J&J Credo values, SOPs, policies and guidelines is beneficial

A track record of effectively operating in complex organisations
