About the opportunity

The Advancement Portfolio has a great fixed term opportunity until July 2026 as a Fundraising Manager in their Alumni and Supporter Experience team.

The role sees you supporting University fundraising initiatives by driving our community giving portfolio, including annual and regular giving, peer-to-peer campaigns, memorial giving and digital fundraising.

Reporting to the Director, Alumni and Supporter Experience, you will work with the Director to identify and implement compelling donor journeys and work collaboratively across Advancement and the wider University to build a culture of philanthropy.

You will continue to evolve a sustainable, profitable program that delivers a pipeline of respected, engaged, quality donors that have a high propensity to leave a gift in their will and/or make a major donation in their lifetime.

The Fundraising Manager is also responsible for building a high-performing team that is aligned around key goals, strategies and KPIs that support the portfolio’s broader philanthropic ambitions.

About you

  • has experience in managing fundraising campaigns and strategies

  • possesses proven management experience, together with flexibility, capacity to adapt to changing circumstances and environments

  • can effectively manage a diverse group of key stakeholders on large or complex projects, and has the ability to develop/cultivate productive relationships with industry providers and key users

  • has strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills together with effective leadership and people management skills

  • has demonstratable influencing and persuasion skills that have led to positive outcomes within complex organisational or project situations, including excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with sound negotiating and conflict resolution skills

  • has financial management experience and literacy, experience managing budgets and controlling income and expenditure for a project
