About the role:
Peabody are currently seeking Underground Mechanical Tradespeople to join our Centurion underground mine, Our Centurion mine is located 160 kilometres west of Mackay. For more information on Centurion visit (centurionmine.com.au)

Reporting to the Mine Manager the scope of your new role will be include.
Carry out personal risk assessment, hazard identification and other safety requirements relevant to the roleWork to “Best Practice” techniques to ensure that equipment is maintained to a high safety, productive and reliable standardCompliance with all statutory and regulatory requirementsParticipate in site continuous improvement initiatives.
The lifestyle:
This position is offered on a 7:7 day/night roster and can allow for a residential (Moranbah) DIDO or FIFO lifestyle.

About you:
Trade qualificationsMinimum of 3 years in underground coal miningAbility to work effectively in a team, coupled with strong communication skillsOperation of underground equipment as required.A demonstrated commitment to safety and the ability to work effectively in a team are key requirements of the role.Commitment to high performance standards.
In addition to the above, you will have a genuine commitment to safety and demonstrate a sound understanding of risk and hazard identification. You will be an exceptional team member with a flexible attitude and sound work ethic.
