About your role:
- Work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists, nurses, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement opioid-sparing strategies and individualized pain management plans. Work co-operatively and effectively within a team and with patients/clients.
- Deliver high level clinical Pharmacy services within the Surgical Directorate at Cairns Hospital in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision.
- Contribute to the creation of opioid stewardship protocols, promoting evidence-based approaches to pain management, and to the development of clinical practices and procedures that support the continuum of care.
