The Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tyre Fitter to join our team.

The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of Tyre fitting, maintenance, and repair processes, along with a commitment to safety and quality. As a Tyre Fitter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency of our vehicles, directly impacting our ability to deliver reliable and effective transportation services. You will be responsible for the fitting, balancing, and alignment of Tyres on a variety of vehicles, and will work closely with our mechanics and drivers to ensure that all safety standards are met and maintained. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions, as well as a keen attention to detail and problem-solving skills. This is a permanent full-time position with a 38-hour week plus overtime as required. Involves Saturday morning work half day.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of Tyres to assess wear and damage.
  • Remove and replace Tyres on a variety of transportation vehicles.
  • Balance and align wheels to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
  • Repair punctures and other tyre-related issues according to industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of all tyre services performed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times.
  • Collaborate with mechanics and drivers to identify and resolve Tyre issues efficiently.

The successful candidate must have the following:

  • Proven experience as a Tyre Fitter or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of Tyre fitting techniques and industry standards.
  • Ability to operate tools and machinery safely and effectively.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks in varying weather conditions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Driver's license essential, however heavy vehicle license would be advantageous
  • Pay rate with depend on qualifications and experience

Remuneration

$37.00 per hour Permanent Position
