Sitting in the Planning and Regulation department, the Public Safety Compliance business unit is responsible for managing regulatory operations across a diverse range of the City’s Local Laws including education, compliance and enforcement action as required to protect the safety and amenity of residents and visitors. The business unit also includes the delivery of protective security across all Council facilities and the d elivery of Community Safety programs and services, including the Safety Camera Network, to ensure a safe city for residents and visitors.
Our Protective Services team delivers effective and efficient asset protection, incident management, alarm monitoring and staff safety for the City of Gold Coast.
About Your New Role
The Systems Support and Maintenance Officer is responsible for managing a range of technical works for the Protective Services Network, including installing and interchanging new CCTV, intruder alarm, access control & other electronic security systems, performing repairs and maintenance, and contributing to network administration and onsite assessments.

We're Looking For People Who Have
A genuine interest in improving the service delivery of asset protection and staff safety across our city sites. Hold Associate Diploma of Information Technology or equivalent experience. Hold a CCTV Equipment & Systems Statement of Attainment Hold a Security provider licence (class 2) and are certified in Tecom C4, Gallagher and Avigilon. Are skilled in negotiating positive outcomes through your proven leadership experience in challenging situations. An excellent communicator and are experienced in making and reviewing administrative decisions within a regulatory framework. People would describe you as someone who has a high level of integrity, comes to work each day with a positive 'can do' attitude and actively seeks to challenge the status-quo to achieve continual improvement and drive efficiencies.
