This position will shape Agriculture Victoria's compliance and enforcement policy, driving meaningful improvements in regulatory practice. This role leads the development of a Compliance and Enforcement Framework, supporting risk - based regulatory programs and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing strategic policy advice and project management
- Researching and presenting evidence - based policy options
- Managing procurement processes and contract negotiations
- Engaging with regulatory programs, convening governance committees, and coordinating workshops.
The Senior Policy Officer is responsible for providing strategic policy advice and project management for the Agriculture Victoria Compliance and Enforcement Improvement Initiative. This role involves managing the development of an Agriculture Victoria Compliance and Enforcement Framework (Framework) and driving continuous improvement in regulatory programs. The position requires expertise in regulatory practice including risk-based compliance and enforcement frameworks. The position also requires expertise in project management to ensure effective project delivery aligned with Agriculture Victoria regulatory policy objectives.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- A relevant tertiary degree would be well regarded.
This is a fixed term position available for until April 2027. The work location for this position is 8 Nicholson Street, East Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
