About the role
Are you a strong communicator with a keen eye for detail who enjoys collaborating with people across all levels of an organisation? Yarra Ranges Council is seeking an enthusiastic and organised Research and Business Officer to join our Organisational Performance and Integrity team.
In this role, you'll work closely with managers and leaders, assisting them in collecting, analysing, and maintaining key corporate data. You'll help ensure clear communication between different teams, supporting effective coordination of performance-related projects. Your day-to-day tasks will include data collection and visualisation, administrative support, helping colleagues use our Corporate Performance Management (CPM) system, and assisting with workshops, training sessions, and community consultations. Your contributions will support informed decisions and ongoing improvements across the organisation.

This is a temporary, part-time role (4 days per week), available until 24 December 2025 (secondment backfill).

This is a band 5 position with an hourly rate between $39.54 and $43.94.

What you'll do:

Collaborate with managers and senior leaders to gather, analyse, and maintain key corporate data.

Facilitate clear communication and coordination between organisational performance initiatives and business stakeholders.

Undertake impactful business support, research, and data visualisation projects.

Advise on and administer our Corporate Performance Management (CPM) system.

Support the organisation through workshops, training, and community consultation activities.

Contribute valuable insights and analysis to drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
