About the role

We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Chef/Cook to join the kitchen team. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals for our guests in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. This is a fantastic chance to showcase your culinary skills and passion for creating delicious, locally-sourced dishes.

Your duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Preparing and cooking a variety of meals

  • Assisting with menu planning and development to ensure dishes are seasonally-inspired and meet customer preferences

  • Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen

  • Maintain excellent presentation standards and cost control whilst maintaining recipe standards

  • Providing exceptional customer service and contributing to a positive team environment

About You

Along with your strong work ethic and previous experience you'll have/be:

  • Minimum of 5 years proven experience as a Chef/Cook, ideally within a hotel, restaurant or similar hospitality setting

  • Strong culinary skills and a passion for creating innovative dishes

  • This is a full time role, however part time or casual hours could be considered - to accommodate a successful applicant

  • Full Australian Working rights or be a permanent resident.

  • Clean, tidy & organised

  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in commercial kitchen environments

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

  • Adaptability and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
