Intura currently have multiple positions available for HV Electricians providing operations & maintenance (O&M) support to large scale farms.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled HV Electrician to join our Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team in Chinchilla for a large scale solar farm. Reporting to the O&M Plant Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining the safe and efficient operation of HV electrical systems and solar plant infrastructure.
Your responsibilities will include performing preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance , ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and minimizing downtime through effective troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:

• HV Electrical Maintenance: Perform switching operations, inspections, and maintenance on HV/MV switchgear, inverters, transformers, or feeder..
• Fault Diagnosis & Repairs: Identify and resolve electrical faults quickly to maintain plant availability.
• Solar Asset Management: Conduct thermographic inspections, root cause analysis (RCA), and maintenance on inverters, PV arrays, and associated electrical systems.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere to WHS regulations , follow industry best practices, and maintain high safety standards.
• Operational Support: Assist in plant monitoring, SCADA system operation, and ensure compliance with grid connection requirements.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, faults, and system performance.

Qualifications & Experience:

• QLD Electrical Licence .
• HV Switching Ticket: Current certification with experience in PLQ switching protocols.
• Construction Induction Card (White Card) (mandatory for site access).
• Current CPR & Low voltage rescue (within 12 months).
• Driver’s Licence: Full AU licence required.
• Experience: in a similar role, with hands-on experience in HV/MV switchyards, substations, and renewable energy systems .
• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of AC/DC systems, CMMS, SCADA, and PV array operations .
