Overview

CFT Building Consultants & Engineers specialises in the provision of technical Building and Structural Engineering Assessments and Reports for the Insurance Industry.

CFT operates in a high volume, high pace environment with a particular focus on Reporting Quality and Technical substantiation within a framework of Key Measurables including timed based KPI’s, as set by our major clients.

Reporting directly to the Business Manager the Technical Reporting Manager will be responsible for assisting the Business Manager in the timely technical review and submission of report submission by our network of Consultants.

The Role does not require oversight of any direct repartees; however does require management of individual workload and consultation with various Consultants to achieve best Reporting outcomes.

Key Duties include:

  • Manage individual Reporting Manager allocation.

  • Undertake Report view process in accordance with the Business's Standard Report Review procedures.

  • Submit Reporting for final review - sign off of Reporting and Client Invoicing.

  • Review and response to ad-hoc enquiries.

  • Ongoing review and management of the overall time based “KPI”.

The role will require the successful applicant to have strong analytical skills, the ability to readily identify shortcomings or weaknesses in a report argument and possess an eye for detail and professional presentation.

The successful applicant will ideally have an Insurance related background with familiarity or assessment type reporting and demonstrate previous experience in a role that involved technical reporting within a team in a similar environment.

In addition, while no formal qualifications are required, the successful applicant should be able to demonstrate a good general understanding of building techniques and terminologies with an ability to research and refer to relevant Codes, Standards and other technical resources.

A high level of English proficiency and formal report writing skills are essential.

Other required skills include:

  • Strong Microsoft Office ability, particularly word and excel

  • Xero experience preferred by not essential

Key Performance Criteria

  • Report submissions are professionally presented in a clear, concise, and accurate and substantiated in a manner that meets with the reporting key measurable set by the business.

Remuneration

An attractive salary package is on offer dependant on the level of experience of the successful candidate.
