Description:
As the Customs Broker, you will be responsible for overseeing the clearance of goods through customs, ensuring full compliance with all regulatory requirements. You will manage the preparation and submission of accurate documentation, determine tariff classifications, and calculate duties and taxes. Acting as the primary liaison between clients, customs authorities, and service providers, the role involves resolving any issues to facilitate the smooth and timely movement of goods.

Overall, the key areas of responsibility include (but are not limited to):
- Oversee customs clearance processes for import/export shipments, ensuring compliance with regulations and accurate documentation.
- Provide expert guidance on tariff classification, duty payments, and regulatory requirements while liaising with customs, clients, and service providers.
- Manage and process all forwarding and customs documentation, ensuring timely completion of job files, cargo automation, and compliance with government agencies.
- Track consignments and provide timely updates to stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and prompt deliveries.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external providers to meet service level agreements, negotiate rates and schedules, and resolve shipment-related issues.
- Monitor regulatory changes and maintain compliance while fostering strong client relationships through proactive communication and service excellence.
Your Profile
To be considered for this role you will have/ be:
- Experienced customs broking in air and sea freight.
- Must have a valid Australian Customs Broker Licence.
- EDI/ Cargowise experience is a must.
- Strong knowledge of local and international customs requirements with high attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, paired with strong customer service abilities.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.

- $130,000 -$150,000 base + 11.5% superannuation + bonus.
