Steel Fixers
WorkPac require multiple Steel Fixers for a major infrastructure project in the Northern suburbs of Adelaide.
- Long term casual position - up to 2 years
- Monday-Friday - 10 hour days
- Saturdays - 8 hour days
- $35.81 per hour + penalties
About our Client
Our client is seeking suitably experienced and motivated Steel Fixers for long-term casual positions in the Northern suburbs.
Working in a well-equipped workshop, preparing prefabricated steel components for a major construction project in Adelaide.
This is not a site-based role ideal for those who enjoy a structured workshop setting.
As an experienced steel fixer, you can be from any background as long as you are reliable, have strong knowledge of steel fixing, are safety conscious, punctual and physically fit.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Assembly of reinforced mild steel cages for major infrastructure concrete works
- Heavy gauge cage manufacture
- Reading and understanding of steel fixing plans and drawings
- Cutting, bending, and tying rebar and mesh to specification
- Ensuring all work is performed in accordance to supplied drawings, schedules, guidelines and criteria
- Demonstrate adherence to planned work and the required quality output
The successful applicants will work Monday to Friday and have the opportunity to complete overtime hours and Saturday work.
What You Will Need:
- Current drivers licence
- Strong knowledge of working with reinforced rod and cages
- Ability to follow CAD plans
- Proven experience as a Steel Fixer (workshop or site-based)
- Strong attention to detail
- Substantial & demonstrated skills in working within a collaborative, highly skilled work environment
- Sound level of skills in oral, written and interpersonal communication
- Additional tickets (e.g. Forklift, Overhead Crane) a bonus
