About the role
Enerven has a large portfolio of work providing commissioning, maintenance and refurbishment of generation, transmission and distribution assets. We are experiencing large growth in major renewables and battery projects nationally, as well as consistent growth in maintenance and refurbishment work across transmission and distribution in South Australia.
The Commissioning/Engineering Field Officer is responsible for ensuring that the substation protection and control equipment operates to the required standard to ensure the high voltage distribution networks maintain integrity and reliability. You will work with the Substation Construction and Maintenance groups to commission HV Substation Protection Schemes and equipment.
Day to day you will:
- Provide assistance / advice to those who maintain and provide emergency response for HV Substations
- Commission high voltage substations including the protection and control schemes and assisting in the commissioning of the primary plant
- Deliver detailed commissioning reports for completed projects
- Provide technical direction, support and leadership in substation protection and control schemes commissioning and maintenance, and to to substation field personnel
About you
Enerven is looking for highly skilled Commissioning Officers (Engineering Field Officers) to hit the ground running. You will bring:
- Extensive Protection relay testing experience including Generation and EHV (Transmission) experience (Using Omicron equipment)
- Secondary systems commissioning, on both Brownfield and Greenfield sites
- CT, VT, Switchboard and Circuit Breaker Testing and commissioning
- Experience with the commissioning process and bringing a greenfield site online
- Providing site leadership, stakeholder management and development / mentoring for junior colleagues
- The ability to work autonomously
- A growth mindset and a desire for continuous learning and development
