About the role As a Senior Design Manager, you will have technical, commercial and management accountability for Enerven’s highest risk delivery projects that exceed $100million. Your role will be critical in ensuring the successful engineering delivery of Enerven’s substation, BESS and solar projects. You will also play a key role in the execution of Enerven's growth strategy by helping Enerven adapt to new markets and technologies. You will contribute to and support the process of identifying and securing new projects/contracts through early contractor involvement and display an ability to lead with engineering-based solutions. Key deliverables in this role include:- Providing leadership and technical expertise across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning
- Coordinating, problem solving and interacting with various teams to ensure high quality, on-time and on-budget deliverables
- Building client relationship, fostering strong connections and delivering timely reports on progress
- Reviewing and analysing complex technical studies, project scopes, specifications and drawings
- Preparing project delivery schedules and proposals to maximise margin and minimise risk
- Training and guiding engineering design teams, fostering professional growth and establishing robust templates for the design management function.
- Specialised knowledge of distribution and transmission systems, including substations
- Cross disciplinary technical expertise in substation, BESS and/or solar engineering activities, with a focus on protection and secondary systems
- Experience in the selection of substation equipment and material
- Familiarity with protection schemes, power system modelling and relay settings.
