About the role
TAFE SA is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the strategic planning, management, and evaluation of critical ICT projects that align with our organisational objectives. In this role, you will ensure the delivery of key outcomes within defined scope, budget, and timelines. The successful candidate will manage budgets, contracts, resources, and cross-functional teams, contributing to the strategic priorities of TAFE SA.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, development, and management of ICT projects to support strategic objectives.
- Manage and monitor budgets, contracts, resources, and performance for quality assurance and project success.
- Mentor and guide multi-disciplinary project teams, fostering a collaborative and effective working environment.
- Oversee procurement, contract management, and vendor relationships to meet project deliverables.
- Establish strong stakeholder networks, ensuring project outcomes are achieved through effective negotiation and collaboration.
- Develop policies and provide expert advice on project governance, risk management, and ICT change management.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Proven experience in managing ICT projects within scope, budget, and timelines.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage multi-disciplinary teams.
- Extensive experience in procurement and vendor management, with a strong understanding of governance and compliance.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex concepts to a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently with sound judgment to achieve project goals within tight timeframes.
- Extensive and contemporary knowledge of ICT project management, governance, evaluation and change management methodologies.
- CRM experience preferred.
Special Conditions
The successful applicant is required to demonstrate having a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to being employed. Applicants who do not hold a WWCC will need to apply at Department of Human Services (DHS).
- Out of hours work will be required.
- Some intrastate/ interstate travel and overnight absences may be required.
- Incumbent will be required to participate in the department’s Performance Development Program
- Eligibility to work in Australia.

ASO8 salary range $121,107 - $125,679 p.a. + super
