About the role

As a Field Impact Dispatch Officer, you will be at the heart of our operational response to Customer faults, service interruptions, ensuring that our customers and the community are informed, supported, and experience great customer outcomes. You will be working closely with Regional Field Operations teams, Service Continuity teams, and other stakeholders to deliver excellent outcomes. This role is vital in supporting the delivery of our operational goals and maintaining a strong customer-first approach. Whilst this role is based at our Mt Barker Office, our operations cover the state, therefore potential flexibility in work location, with frequent travel to our Mt Barker Office will be required.

About Operations and Maintenance

The Operations & Maintenance team oversees the management of our water, wastewater and River Murray activities and conducts operational control activities for a secure water supply. The team is responsible for both planned and unplanned maintenance activities, integrating corrective, preventive, predictive, and precision maintenance strategies. They aim to meet availability, performance, cost, and risk targets by leveraging technical asset maintenance and reliability expertise. Operations & Maintenance strives to deliver smart and reliable services to customers while enhancing overall operational efficiency.

In addition, your responsibilities will include:

Fostering trust with our people, customers and community by providing expert advice and service that ensure we effectively communicate and engage audiences with our business strategy and its delivery across South Australia, every day.

You will:

  • Identify and reduce constraints which effect efficient operation and customer expectations
  • Support works management capability concerns and capacity constraints in overflow of demand of workflow
  • Communicate with and provide community support teams all the necessary information during/after an incident to manage and minimise impacts for all customers
  • Engage works management reporting for works management activities
  • Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement in work processes
  • Build and maintain collaborative and effective relationships across the end to end works management process
  • Provide support in crew management within the scheduling and dispatch tool for each district in accordance with statewide crew structures.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Experience in prioritising workloads and managing customer impacts.
  • Strong IT literacy and the ability to learn and adapt to new systems quickly.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with work management systems like Click and Maximo is desirable.
  • Flexibility with working within a roster covering 6am to 6pm weekdays
  • You will be required to hold a current driver’s licence at all times
