As we experience rapid growth, we are looking for a DevSecOps Engineer to contribute to the design, development and implementation of a the Continuous Delivery Pipeline as per the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) (refer to https://scaledagileframework.com/system-team/) within a greenfield DevSecOps development to modernise the Navy’s EW capabilities. The DevSecOps Engineer can look forward to the following essential elements in this exciting role:

• Design and build of software factory in a cloud based virtualized environment, with tool chain including but not limited to CI/CD pipeline in a Software Development Environment.
• Work with product owner to identify and prioritize features of software factory and break down into value delivering tasks.
• Analyse, design and implement automation strategies, including tool selection.
• Install and configure CI/CD toolchain and ancillary tools in the ecosystem that enables secure software development and built in quality.
• Monitor and manage technical operations.
• Problem analysis and resolution of emergent issues.
• Create exceptional documentation of standard operating procedures, root cause analysis documents.
• Communicate with stakeholders both technical and non-technical.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM is desirable
• Minimum 5 years' experience in supporting software development and operations is essential
• Experience developing CI/CD pipelines is essential
• Advanced knowledge in Linux and Windows is essential.
• Deep understanding of software package management for at least two application stacks is essential (Nuget, Cargo, Pip, maven etc)
• Experience with Kubernetes is essential.
• Advanced skills in Kubernetes networking, security hardening, fine tuning, diagnostics is highly regarded.
• Experience with DevSecOps tools suite such as GitLab, Sonarqube, Artifactory Xray or similar is essential.
• Experience in the infrastructure management of one of either Azure or On-Prem solutions is essential.
• Strong automation scripting skills in bash is essential.
• Experience with identity management systems such as Keycloak, AD is essential.
• Experience with BIGBANG/platform one is highly desirable.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills essential.
• Experience in DevSecOps metrics and maturity models is highly desirable.
• Experience in VMware VCF/Tanzu Kubernetes is highly desirable.
• Experience in operations/service desk is highly desirable.
• Previous exposure to Defence Systems Engineering processes and tools desirable.
• Experience in a Defence related industry is desirable.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain Australian Government (Defence) Security Clearance up to NV -1 - eligibility can be found at http://www.defence.gov.au/agsva
