Reporting to the Process Supervisor, the Process Technician Utilities positions support the operation through maintaining a high standard of housekeeping across all areas of the process plant. This will include operating a variety of mobile equipment to maintain unsealed roads, carparks, laydown areas, stockpiles, tip heads. The team also assists with general spillage clean up, hosing down areas of the processing plant and general process technician duties.
Key Accountabilities
- Demonstrate awareness of safety and environmental practices throughout all areas of Newmont Boddington Gold
- Consistently behave in a safe manner that prevents injury to oneself and to others.
- Ensure compliance with all procedures and reporting of unsafe/hazardous conditions to supervisors.
- Actively participate in all safety and environmental meetings and audits, risk assessments and Toolbox meetings.
- Complete pre-starts to ensure equipment is maintained to a high standard and defective equipment is repaired.
- Ensure equipment integrity is not compromised by maintaining high standards of housekeeping.
- Inspect and audit work areas and practices for compliance with site standards, procedures and policies.
- Encourage and support workplace diversity and inclusion.
