About the role:
Capecare is seeking a passionate and experienced Hospitality Services Manager (HSM) to lead the delivery of our non-clinical services to the highest standard.

Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer (COO), this key leadership role is responsible for overseeing our catering, housekeeping and laundry teams and ensuring excellence in every aspect of our residential services.

As Hospitality Services Manager, you’ll drive quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across all hospitality functions, creating a welcoming and well-maintained environment for our residents.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a Chef with a background in hotel or hospitality management who is seeking a greater work-life balance, with no weekend and after-hours requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of housekeeping, laundry and food services across both of our residential care facility cafes, ensuring compliance with the Food Safety Plan, relevant HACCP standards, and Capecares’ policies and procedures.

  • Collaborate with Chefs, Dietitians, Managers and Older People to offer nutritious and diverse meals tailored to individual dietary needs, allergies, and preferences.

  • Review, develop, and implement hospitality service models, budgets and rosters to ensure optimal operational efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Foster a respectful, positive, and team-oriented environment that is unwavering when it comes to quality and customer service.

  • Contribute to shaping the strategic direction of the Hospitality Services team.

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the Older People’s experience.

About You:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Hospitality or a related field; or demonstrated previous experience in a similar role.

  • Aged care or hospital experience is desirable but not essential - we will welcome applications from candidates with hotel, catering or restaurant backgrounds.

  • Proven experience leading, managing and coaching large teams.

  • A hands-on leadership style with the ability to lead by example in the kitchen.

  • Demonstrated experience in developing business plans and budgets.

  • Comprehensive understanding of food safety, IDDSI, HACCP standards and allergens.

  • Unwavering commitment to customer service and customer satisfaction.

  • Working rights within Australia.

  • National Police Clearance.
