Linmac Bearing Equipment is seeking an experienced Mechanical Shutdown Supervisor for regular ongoing shutdown work in the Southwest. We are well-established company providing shutdown support in the local region. Our focus is centred on Safety, Quality, Customer relations and equal opportunity.
Shutdowns range from 3 to 5 days every second week based on 11 hour day and night shifts and 2 hours travel. There are also other site shutdown opportunities on a semi regular basis.
NOTE – The position available is based on daily drive in – drive out from Bunbury only, with travel time paid, along with the use of a company vehicle for transport to and from site each shift.
While the position advertised is a casual engagement, a permanent fulltime opportunity exists for the right person.
You will have the relevant experience to Supervise a team of mechanical & trades assistant personnel, plan and execute work to achieve scheduled outcomes in a safe & professional manner that aligns to the requirements of the company and client policies and procedures.
Your experience and qualifications will include;
· Knowledge of Warman pumps, Conveyors, Crushers and associated equipment used in a hard rock process mining or mineral sands environments
· Have obtained competency in, or able to complete (mandatory requirement)

BSBWHS411 – Implement and monitor WHS policies, procedures and programs.

BSBWH414 – Contribute to WHS risk management
· Relevant mechanical trade certificate
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Complete applicable medical and D&A requirements
