About the Role

The Division of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Indigenous Leadership at Western Sydney University is dedicated to advancing Indigenous education, leadership, and research. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team. This is an identified position, and applicants must be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person.

Position Purpose

The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will undertake research and contribute to the strategic vision of the Division of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Indigenous Leadership. The role involves conducting research duties in line with the Australian Research Council funded project, Yarruwala: Complex Ecosystems of Indigenous Higher Education Leadership (IN250100096).

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to gather insights from Indigenous leaders and stakeholders.
  • Publish high-impact research articles and contribute to the development of an edited book based on participant interviews.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of researchers, academics, and community members to ensure the project's success.
  • Manage administrative and financial aspects of the project to ensure efficient and effective operations.
Remuneration: Academic Level B - $143,084 to 168,838 p.a. (comprising base salary of $120,647 to $142,769 p.a., plus 17% Superannuation and Leave Loading).
