We currently have an opportunity for a Leisure Centre Attendant/Lifeguard to join our team at the Kiama Leisure Centre.
In the role of Leisure Centre Attendant/Lifeguard you will:
- Ensure the safety of Leisure Centre patrons
- Ensure the facilities at the Leisure Centre including water quality and plant room equipment are maintained
- Co-ordinate the setting out & pack up of equipment for the various Leisure Centre user groups
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness at the Leisure Centre.

- Minimum hourly pay rate from $37.40 (salary is dependent on qualifications, skills and experience)
- Plus 25% casual loading
- Plus 11.5 % superannuation.
What you'll need to be successful in the role...
- Aquatic Technical Operator (Pool Operations) – SISSS00131
- Pool Lifeguard Licence or Current Pool Lifeguard Award
- A minimum of 6 months experience in working as a Pool Lifeguard
- Previous experience with routine plant room maintenance and knowledge of WH&S
- A current First Aid Certificate
- A current valid NSW Working with Children Check
- The ability to communicate effectively with the public and fellow staff members
- Excellent customer service skills.
Pre-Employment Checks
This is a child-related position. You will be required to provide Council with your valid and current Working with Children Check (WWCC) number as a condition of your employment. In addition, your employment will be subject to a National Criminal Record Check to determine your suitability for employment.
