The Facilities team plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operational needs of our environment, making sure we are compliant, functional, safe and efficient.
About the Role
Join us at an exciting time as we embark on projects like refurbishing our Branch Network. The Trainee Facilities Officer role is based at our Head Office in East Maitland, with frequent travel between branches. You'll respond to repairs and maintenance as they occur and assist with scheduling both preventative and ad hoc maintenance at all sites.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the coordination of security systems such as CCTV.

General building maintenance and upkeep.

Maintain company fleet vehicles and other assets.

Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety standards and protocols.

Manage stock and inventory across sites.

Act as the primary liaison for contractors, including onboarding and ongoing management.

Contribute to emergency planning, providing advice and training across all sites.
About You
If you are a problem solver, not afraid to jump in and support various sites, don’t mind the occasional administrative task, have a current driver's licence (essential), and love working as part of a team, then you fit our job profile!
This is an ideal opportunity for those with some experience in building and maintenance systems, physical security systems (including alarms and CCTV), and basic to intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
You will be provided with a laptop, mobile phone, and all necessary training.
This is a hands-on, varied, fast-paced role where you will need to think on your feet and prioritise tasks as needed.
Position Details:

Full-time traineeship working 38 hours per week.

Opportunity to participate in an on-call roster after probation, with an on-call allowance.

Earn a Cert III in Work Health and Safety while gaining practical, on-the-job experience.
