Our client is a lead government agency in NSW. We are seeking TWO organised and detail-oriented Administration Assistants/Admin Support Officers for an immediate start. This 1-3 month contract offers $38-42 per hour plus super, this role comes with a 35-hour workweek in a team environment. Role Summary

Located in Newcastle , this role provides vital administrative support to the internal team, assisting in the delivery of quality reviews, research, evaluation, reporting, and implementation projects. Working closely with senior managers, you will help drive operational efficiency and support initiatives that enhance service delivery. This is a four-week contract position with a potential short extension, subject to operational review.
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-level administrative support to the Practice and Strategy team.
  • Assist in the coordination and conduct of quality assurance reviews.
  • Compile, analyse and maintain data to support reporting requirements.
  • Prepare high-quality documentation including reports, briefings, and correspondence.
  • Provide project support, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are tracked and met.
  • Manage scheduling, diary coordination, and internal communications.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate project and operational outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records and uphold confidentiality standards.
  • Support the continuous improvement of administrative processes and systems.
About You
We’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented individual with a knack for organisation and a proactive approach to problem-solving. To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
  • Proven experience in delivering high-level administrative and clerical support.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience working within public sector or customer-focused organisations (desirable).
  • Relevant qualifications in business administration or related discipline (preferred).
  • Valid Australian working rights are essential; sponsorship is not available. Australian Citizens, Permanent Residents, or individuals holding long-term working visas are encouraged to apply.
