Come and work in one of Newcastle's best boutique, highest quality firms. Our client is looking for a motivated Intermediate Accountant to add to their tight knit team. With a rich 70 year history, the firm has carved out an enviable share of the Newcastle market, alongside retaining several large, high quality clients across Australia.
In line with the firms overall growth plans, this vacancy has arised due to purely adding to the team as they look to grow their client base and continue to expand. About the role
Grow your career within a small client-focused team:
-
Assist in preparing annual accounts and tax returns for all entities

Prepare management reports and other advisory reports as required
-
Support clients and/or their bookkeeper on accounting matters (using Xero)
What you will bring:
-
2-3+ years previous experience working in an Australian accounting firm environment
-
Tertiary qualification in accounting/commerce/finance
-
Knowledge of MYOB and XERO
-
CA/CPA in progress, or looking to begin
-
Excellent attention to detail & good organisational skills
-
A willingness to collaborate, & work in a team
-
Ambition & drive to progress in your role/the business
