Overview:

Join our team at Komatsu Underground as a Quality Control Coordinator based in Rutherford. As a Quality Control Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards in the manufacturing industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting regular inspections of products and equipment to ensure they meet quality standards, coordinating with production teams to address quality issues, implementing and maintaining quality control procedures, and performing root cause analysis to identify and resolve quality problems.

Job Description:

The role involves working with both internal and external customers to satisfy quality requirements. The position requires a mix of accessing quality inspection and test plan documents, investigations, and ensuring that work instructions, quality procedures, and inspection reports are completed timely and accurately.

This position offers the opportunity to gain product knowledge across the business and experience in management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct product and process inspections/audits to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Coordinate with production teams to address any quality issues.
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain quality control documentation.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
  • Investigate rework root causes

Key Skills and Attributes Required:

  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Understanding of metrology and tolerances.
  • Experience in SAP.
  • Basic Excel & computer skills.
  • Strong relationship management.
  • Experience in mining, longwall operations, development, fabrication, or technical roles highly regarded.
