About the role

  • Lead the capability development program with respect to the integrated electronic Medical Record (ieMR) PowerChart for all staff at STARS and promote a culture of learning in the clinical environment.
  • Lead, design and co-ordinate STARS ieMR optimisation and system change via appropriate operational, Metro North and state-wide governance bodies.
  • Lead implementation, adoption and evaluation of ieMR optimisation and system changes.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Critically appraise the digital capability of the workforce and lead development, implementation and evaluation of initiatives to promote adoption of optimal ieMR workflows at STARS.
  • Contribute expert level advice and advocacy to strategic and operational planning to build digital capacity, thereby improving quality and safety of care delivery.
  • Review and contribute to relevant local policies, procedures and work instructions.
  • Apply advanced and detailed knowledge of clinical roles and workflows of all members of the multidisciplinary teams to strategically influence adoption of digital workflows, and initiate digital change requests for improved patient outcomes.
  • Utilise advanced interpersonal and communication skills within a multi-disciplinary environment, including negotiation, consultation and conflict resolution to provide digital support and facilitate behaviour change for clinical staff using the ieMR.
  • Be the primary communication conduit between STARS and DMN, and STARS and statewide digital groups for all matters related to the ieMR, representing STARS in these discussions.
  • Apply clinical and digital expertise to inform redesign of multidisciplinary workflows and device utilisation to effectively coordinate and deliver digital facilitator support activities in the ieMR.
